Background

Born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Leticia's passion for painting began when she was only 11 years old.  Studies included lessons at The Liga de Arte de San Juan throughout primary school, Seton Hill University (Pennsylvania) and the Alliance Franchaise in Paris France.  Continued recent studies include the Savannah College of Art and Design. 

Known as Letty to friends, the artist resides in Atlanta Georgia, with her husband and two sons.

Influences

Mentor Don Luis A. Ferre (founder, Museo de Arte de Ponce) had a heavy influence in Letty's passion during her working experience at the Museuo de Arte de Ponce in Puerto Rico.  Today, she continues to be inspired by her first mentor, mother Laura Fernandez, along with her caribbean roots and love for music.
